Landscaping the Hudlow

November 24, 2009

Every single Landscape Architect student on campus is involved in the design process of the Hudlow School.  This is a 2-semester project involving every aspect of landscape architecture; from picking the plants, to determining maintenance and sustainability of their efforts.  The students I have talked to about it are proud of their efforts so far because they not only get to be a part of a meaningful and important learning experience, but they are all working together as a team.  Maybe I’ll start calling them “TACDC Team LA.”  If you can come up with something better, I’m all ears!

I’ll periodically post their progress, and maybe (just MAYBE) influence one of them to join our blog once in awhile.  Check out their pamphlet here.

Design Diction of the Day~ Xeriscape Gardening:  Water-efficient gardening that makes use of drip irrigation and drought-adaptable plants.
