Animation Alum wins Stop-Motion contest at Zeitgeist

April 2, 2010

Paul Barber, an Alumnist from The Art Center Design College, recently took first place at Zeitgeist Films’ Stop-Motion contest. Paul created the stop-motion film as an experiment during his studies here at The Art Center Design College. His project, which was apropriately titled “Block Puppy”, is a charming and slightly surreal story of adventure made with cut-out paper.

To get an idea of what Paul is working on now, check out some of his new stuff over at his blog.

Congratualations to fellow filmmakers Stephane Aubier and Vincent Patar, who took second and third out of the ten winning films. The good folks at Zeitgeist promises that the ten winning films will be showcased on YouTube very soon, so keep your eyes peeled. For those of you who are unaware, Zeitgeist Films are strongly auteur-driven and have a distinct visual style with unique content. It’s worth checking out, trust me.
